Going to the markets is one of the most enjoyable things to do on vacation. In Perros-Guirec or in the surrounding area, try local Breton specialties for the greatest pleasure of the whole family. Meet the producers and artisans who make the know-how of the Pink Granite Coast and immerse yourself in the atmosphere that reigns in these markets. Gastronomy, jewelry, decoration: there is something for all tastes and for all desires.
The city of Perros-Guirec offers no less than three markets in three different neighborhoods, to satisfy all desires. Find these markets all year round in the city center and the districts of La Clarté and La Rade.
The Perros-Guirec market in the city center is held every Friday throughout the year. Standing on three levels, you can find artisans from Place des Halles to Place du Marché, as well as in Rue Du Pré and Allée des Hortensias. From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy strolling through this market very close to the Les Costans hotel (5 minutes on foot).
As its name suggests, the La Clarté market is located in the La Clarté district, west of Perros-Guirec. You will find the stands of local producers in the car park near the Chapel. It's every Sunday from 7 am to 2 pm. Let yourself be guided by the scents of Breton pancakes, a must if you are staying in the region.
To the east, the La Rade market is held on the port of Perros-Guirec. It takes over the Quai de la Douane overlooking the sea directly, allowing you to discover another corner of the city. Every Wednesday from 7 am to 2 pm, let yourself be tempted by a basket of oysters or a piece of local cheese.
Other more “seasonal” markets are also to be discovered in summer!
On Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., from mid-June to mid-September, Quai Bellevue (between Rue du Port and Rue du Centre) is adorned with the smells of fresh fish, typical pancakes or even local pastries. A stone's throw from the port, come and drool in front of the stalls of the dozen traders present on the Ploumanac'h market. To be enjoyed on site or to take away, you will find a rotisser/caterer or even an organic pizzeria.
Always on Tuesdays, but this time in a nighttime version (from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.), don't miss the designer market. More than twenty exhibitors meet on Trestraou beach, a few minutes from the hotel. Jewelry, books, clothing, discover the know-how of small local designers. All to the sound of Les Lives de Trestraou: music groups animate the seafront to continue to enchant your evening.
Want to get off the beaten path? The municipalities located around Perros-Guirec are not left behind when it comes to food or craft markets. Venture out into the area and you won't be disappointed.
Stalls of sweet and savory local products, beautiful handicrafts, marine-themed clothing for young and old... This is the Trégastel market, west of Perros-Guirec. Immerse yourself in the heart of Brittany by tasting shellfish, charcuterie and local honey. Fifty retailers await you in winter and twice as many in summer. But always on Monday from 8 am to 1 pm, in the Sainte Anne car park. There's no better way to start the week!
Further south, the pretty town of Lannion offers you its market on Thursdays from 8 am to 1 pm on the Place du Général-Leclerc. Let yourself be carried away by the walkers through the market gardening stands offering a variety of vegetables, including the famous Cocos de Paimpol. A true immersion of the senses in the heart of the historic center. You will also find souvenirs that are 100% “made in Breizh”. Another market is held in the Caërphilly car park, every Sunday from 8 am to 1 pm.
Very close to Lannion, the Ploulec'h market has many surprises in store for you. Several merchants are present there to sell organic cleaning products, cheese, exotic dishes or even handmade products straight from Corsica. A change of scenery guaranteed on these last two stands! Bonus: opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride and discover the small town of Ploulec'h in a different way.
Every Tuesday morning from 8 am to 1 pm, you have to be on Place des Îles. Although it is mostly food in the off-season, the Trébeurden market becomes twice as big during the summer, until it continues on the road to the Corniche de Goas Treiz. In the midst of regional products, there are a succession of stands selling textiles, jewelry, arts and crafts and decoration.
To the east of Perros-Guirec, very close to Île de Bréhat, the Pleubian market welcomes fruit and vegetable, fish and shellfish, plants and even clothing merchants. Meet on Saturday morning from 9 am to 1 pm, in the town squares. Special mention for the musical activities not to be missed during the summer season.
It can't be invented: The Old Market offers you a 100% organic market with no less than twenty exhibitors. From poultry to ravioli, including homemade ice cream or the famous Breton cider, mingle with the crowd to appreciate the Trégor region from the inside. You will also find bread, meat, chocolate and wine. More surprisingly, stop by the sharpening truck and have your bike repaired! Finally, punctuate the morning by doing a good action: enjoy a good pancake under the covered halls and at the same time support the associations of Plouaret and Vieux-Marché. To be discovered on Saturday morning from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
On Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Ferme du Wern in Ploubezre is transformed into a market welcoming farmers and artisans. You will find organic products from the region, directly from the producer: butter, gwell (Breton dairy specialty), pancakes, fresh pasta...
Tréguier, “a small city of character”, opens the doors of its market to you every Wednesday morning (and afternoon during the summer). Decoration, gastronomy, textiles... Go to Place des Halles, Rue Renan and on the quays to enjoy the pleasures of the land and the typical atmosphere. It is probably one of the liveliest markets in the region; don't miss it!
What better way to brighten up your Sunday mornings than by strolling through the Plestin-les-Grèves market? Very frequented by tourists as well as local inhabitants, it will enchant you with its producers' stalls (pancakes, organic bread, oysters...) but also at night, with its warm atmosphere with theatrical or musical entertainment. To do this, go to the city center and to the Square of March 18, 1962.
